Day Camp Counselor

Lead activities and build relationships with campers ages 5 to 12 in our day camp program. High energy, big heart, patience required.

Day Camp Counselors work under the guidance of the Day Camp Coordinators, spending their days leading a group of campers through games, songs, crafts, Bible discovery time, and all the adventures Day Camp has to offer.

Each week features a unique theme, giving counselors the chance to bring creativity and energy to every day. You'll be an active participant alongside your campers, encouraging growth, building friendships, and sharing in the joy of God's creation.

This is typically a commuting position, but residency is an option if strongly needed.

Direct supervisor: Day Camp Coordinator or Program Manager.

Resident Camp Counselor

Live on-site and walk alongside campers through a week of adventure, faith, and growth. For young adults looking for meaningful summer work.

Resident Counselors serve campers ages 6 to 18, and the heart of the role is modeling the Christian walk: leading daily Bible discovery time with your co-counselor, guiding campers through a week of growth, laughter, and community.

Your days are spent leading activities, joining in meals, encouraging teamwork, and helping campers develop age-appropriate independence. Most overnight programs stay in the cabins, Wesley Lodge, or Raab Retreat Lodge.

Direct supervisor: Program Manager.

Lifeguard

Keep campers safe at the pool while making water time the highlight of the day. Current lifeguard certification required.

Lifeguards are responsible for the care and safety of all pool and lake activities, including swimming, boating, water slides, and water games. Daily tasks include setup and storage of waterfront equipment, basic pool chemical monitoring, and maintaining cleanliness of pool areas.

A valid American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification (including Deep Water) with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid is required. Certification must remain valid through August 30, 2026.

Attendance at pre-summer Waterfront Orientation and mid-summer In-Service Training is expected.

Direct supervisor: Waterfront Coordinator or Program Manager.

Kitchen Assistant

Help our hospitality team prepare homemade meals for campers and staff. No culinary degree needed, just a willingness to work hard and serve well.

The kitchen crew is the backbone of camp life. Kitchen assistants prepare the salad bar and beverages, bake desserts, and maintain a clean dining hall while meeting health code and sanitary standards. Dishwashers manage the dish station, cleaning and sanitizing all dishes.

The work moves at a quick and rewarding pace, and the goal is to create a warm, welcoming environment in the Dining Hall for campers, staff, and volunteers.

Direct supervisor: Hospitality Manager.

Leadership Roles

Returning staff and experienced leaders take on coordination roles that shape the entire summer.

Challenge Course Coordinator

Manage the climbing tower, high ropes, and bouldering wall. Train staff, maintain equipment, and run programming.

This role manages day-to-day Challenge Course programming for both Overnight Camp and Day Camp, along with upkeep of all equipment, structures, and facilities. Candidates must have at least 2 seasons of high ropes experience with dynamic belay skills and a minimum of 100 hours of challenge course facilitation.

You'll debrief High Ropes and Team-Building courses for maximum impact in a Christian camp setting. When Challenge Course duties are not needed, you'll assist with other programming and duties. Sunday through Friday schedule with on-site housing.

Must be 21+, able to lift 100 pounds, and capable of performing at-height rescues.

Driver's license required.

Nice to have: TAG training, CPR/AED, WFR, High Ropes Rescue training.

Day Camp Coordinator

Oversee daily operations of the day camp program. Supervise counselors, manage schedules, and be the go-to problem solver.

This role oversees the two Day Camp Program Directors and provides direct support and leadership to all Day Camp staff. Responsibilities include registration, Bible discovery, counselor management, large group direction, program development, and being a resource for behavioral needs.

You'll lead staff meetings, assign end-of-day tasks, support training, ensure safety and quality standards, and communicate with parents and caregivers. Monday through Friday schedule with on-site housing available.

Candidates need at least two years of experience teaching or leading children.

Must be 21+.

Driver's license required.

Nice to have: teaching degree, CPR/AED, camp counselor leadership experience.

Day Camp Program Director

Design and lead programming for day campers. Two positions available. Creative, organized, and camper-focused.

Two positions available, split between Younger Day Camp (ages 5 to 8) and Older Day Camp (ages 9 to 13).

Working under the Day Camp Coordinator and year-round Program Manager, you'll manage all aspects of your program including registration, Bible discovery, counselor management, large group direction, program development, and behavioral support. Monday through Friday schedule with on-site housing available.

Candidates need at least two years of experience teaching or leading children.

Must be 21+.

Driver's license required.

Nice to have: teaching degree, CPR/AED, camp counselor leadership experience.

Waterfront Coordinator

Run the pool and waterfront activities. Manage lifeguard rotations, enforce safety protocols, and keep the fun going.

This role manages the 89,000-gallon swimming pool, boating area with 5 types of watercraft, and catch-and-release fishing area. You'll directly supervise all seasonal lifeguards, ensuring high safety standards are consistently upheld.

A valid American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification (including Deep Water) with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid is required, plus at least 2 seasons of lifeguarding experience. Monday through Friday schedule with on-site housing available.

Must be 21+, able to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move a person over 100 pounds.

Driver's license required.

Nice to have: WSI certification, experience training lifeguards.

Program Coordinator

Coordinate the overall summer program schedule across all camp activities. The connective tissue between every department.

The top summer leadership role under year-round staff. You'll supervise the program team and provide direct support across all Overnight Camp and Day Camp programs. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of camp experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to deliver organized, Christ-focused programming.

Key skills include schedule management, adaptability through weather and unforeseen changes, time management, and effective teamwork with other leadership staff.

Sunday through Friday schedule with on-site housing. Long days and a shared on-call night schedule through the 6 weeks of Overnight Camp.

Nice to have: High Ropes/belay experience, lifeguard certification, CPR/AED.
