A 5K Through Camp. After Dark. Lit Up.
Run the Glen is Gretna Glen's fall trail race, and the Glow Run is its signature evening edition. A crisp November evening, a 5K loop through the main site and outpost area, and hundreds of glow sticks strung along the trail to light the way. It is quickly becoming one of the most-beloved events on the calendar.
The course takes runners through the heart of camp, past the cabins, along the lake, and into the woods. Not a race against the clock. A run for the joy of it, with the path glowing the whole way.
A fall tradition that keeps growing. Bring the family. Bring your running crew. Bring friends who have never run a 5K before. The glow makes everyone faster.
What to Expect
One hour of camp trail, one dose of seasonal color, and enough glow to make it feel like a party that happens to include running.
5K Trail Course
The route winds through main site and the outpost area. Paved stretches, forest trails, and open fields across the property.
Glow Sticks on the Trail
Hundreds of glow sticks line the course. Landmarks get lit. Turn points are hard to miss. The forest is a different place at night.
One Hour, Start to Finish
6:15 PM start, 7:15 PM back at the finish line. A tight, well-run event that slots into the Friday evening.
All Paces Welcome
Runners, joggers, walkers. Whole families on the course together. No pressure to be fast, every pressure to have fun.
Glow Gear
Wear your own glow, bring glow sticks for the kids, or grab some at check-in. The more glow, the better the photos.
Crisp Fall Evening
November nights in Gretna are cool and clear. Dress in layers. Keep moving. Finish warm.
