THE SUMMER RESET

The Summer Reset Every Teen Deserves

The school year takes a lot out of a teenager. Between classes, sports, jobs, and screens, most teens hit summer already running on empty. Youth Mini Chill Week is designed to fix that. This shorter session (Sunday through Wednesday) gives campers the space to slow down, recharge, and remember what it feels like to just be present.

This program blends intentional rest with real adventure. Campers will trade doomscrolling for sunrise walks, swap stress for campfire-cooked breakfasts, and end the week with an outdoor movie night under the stars, complete with fancy s'mores. No prior camping experience is needed, and the welcoming environment means campers can come with friends or on their own.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Rest, Adventure, and Everything in Between

Every day blends intentional rest with real adventure, classic camp activities, and time to just be present.

Rest That Actually Recharges

This isn't sitting around doing nothing. Campers will spend time in hammocks, practice yoga with a certified instructor, take sunrise walks, and read their favorite books. Every activity is designed to help teens genuinely decompress after a demanding school year.

Classic Camp, Shorter Commitment

Swimming, boating, crafts, and high ropes are all part of the mix. Youth Mini Chill Week packs the best of Gretna Glen into a shorter session that fits busy summer schedules without sacrificing any of the adventure.

Real Community, Real Fast

A shorter session doesn't mean surface-level connections. Campers will work together on a service project that benefits the rest of Gretna Glen's summer campers, building something meaningful as a team.

Faith and Reflection

Through worship, campfire conversations, and daily reflections, campers are invited to slow down and explore faith at their own pace in a welcoming, pressure-free environment.

Built for Busy Schedules

A Shorter Session, the Full Experience

Not every teen can commit to a full week at camp, and that shouldn't mean missing out. Youth Mini Chill Week runs Sunday through Wednesday, making it a natural fit for campers with summer jobs, sports commitments, or families with packed calendars.

Despite the shorter stay, campers get the full Gretna Glen experience. Swimming, boating, high ropes, crafts, group games, and meaningful time with counselors and cabin mates are all part of the session. The days are full without feeling rushed. By the time Wednesday arrives, campers leave feeling lighter, more connected, and genuinely ready for the rest of summer.

WHERE YOU'LL STAY

Youth Mini Chill Week is based at the Wilderness Ridge Outpost, Gretna Glen's rustic camping area. Campers sleep on cots in canvas platform tents or in rustic cabins with bunk-style accommodations. There's no electricity at the Ridge, but water and bathrooms are close by. It's an unplugged experience by design.
